How Ashiana-e-Korang handles information on our website — with children's safety first.

Last updated 15 August 2026

This policy describes how Ashiana-e-Korang handles information on our website — including messages, donations by bank transfer, and private child profiles protected by access codes. It is written for families and supporters in clear language.

01

Introduction

Ashiana-e-Korang (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is a non-profit orphanage and charity in Korang Town, Islamabad. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you visit https://www.ashiana-e-korang.com, contact us, donate, or use features such as Meet Our Children.

We wrote this policy in plain language so families, visitors, and supporters can understand our practices. It applies to our public website and related online services we operate.

02

Who we are

Ashiana-e-Korang (associated with Ashiana-E-Trust) provides education, shelter, meals, healthcare, and family-style care for children who need a safe place to grow.

You can reach us at Street #07, House #2, Korang Town, Islamabad, Pakistan. Email ashiana.home1@gmail.com, or call +92 311 6806685 / +92 51 5958384.

03

Information we collect

We only collect information that helps us run the home, answer your messages, protect children’s privacy, and keep the website secure.

  • Contact details you send us — name, email address, subject, and message through the Contact form.
  • Phone numbers or other details you choose to include in a message or share when you call or email us directly.
  • Access codes you enter to open a private child profile (we use these to verify permission, not to build marketing profiles).
  • Account credentials for staff or authorised users who sign in to the admin area (email and password, stored securely).
  • Technical data needed for security and delivery — for example, basic server logs, and tokens from spam protection (Google reCAPTCHA) when you submit the contact form.
  • Limited browser storage for child-profile access sessions (see “Cookies & local storage”).

We do not ask the public for payment card numbers on this website. Donations are made by bank transfer using published account details.

04

How we use information

We use personal information for these purposes only:

  • To reply to visits, donations, volunteering, and general enquiries.
  • To share visiting hours, directions, and ways to support the children.
  • To protect children’s privacy by gating detailed profiles behind access codes.
  • To operate and secure the website, prevent spam and abuse, and maintain admin access for authorised staff.
  • To improve clarity of the site (for example, fixing broken pages) using aggregate technical information where available.
05

Children’s privacy & safeguarding

Protecting the children in our care is our highest duty. Photos, names, and personal stories on this site are shared carefully. Detailed child profiles are not open to the general public.

We do not knowingly use this website to collect personal information directly from children for marketing. If you believe a child has sent us personal data inappropriately, contact us and we will review and delete it where appropriate.

Please do not republish private profile details, access codes, or sensitive images from this site on social media or elsewhere.

06

Access codes & private profiles

On Meet Our Children, a full profile opens only after you enter an access code that was shared with you for a specific child. This helps keep personal information limited to people who should see it.

After a correct code, your browser may keep a short-lived session (about five minutes) so you can view that profile without re-entering the code immediately. That session is stored in your browser’s session storage and is not used for advertising.

Do not share access codes publicly. If a code may have been exposed, contact us so we can rotate it.

07

Contact form & communications

When you use the Contact page, we receive your name, email, subject, and message so we can respond. Messages are handled by our team using ashiana.home1@gmail.com and related mail systems.

We may keep correspondence as long as needed to complete your request and for basic administrative records. We do not sell contact-form data.

The contact form is protected with Google reCAPTCHA to reduce spam. Google may process technical data under its own privacy terms when the captcha runs.

08

Donations

Our Donate page shows bank transfer details (bank name, branch, IBAN, and account number) so you can give through your own bank.

We do not process card payments on this website. Your bank will handle your transfer under its own privacy and security rules. If you email us about a donation, we will use that message only to acknowledge or clarify your gift.

09

Cookies & local storage

We use a small number of storage technologies that are needed for the site to work:

  • Session cookie(s) for signed-in admin users so staff can stay logged in securely while managing the site.
  • Browser session storage for temporary child-profile access after a valid access code (short expiry).
  • Third-party cookies or similar technologies that Google reCAPTCHA may set when you submit the contact form.

We do not currently run advertising trackers or marketing pixels on the public site. If that changes, we will update this policy.

10

Third-party services

We rely on trusted providers to host and operate the site. They process data only as needed to provide their service to us:

  • Web hosting and server infrastructure (including our production host) to serve pages and store application data.
  • Email delivery for contact messages and account-related mail.
  • Google reCAPTCHA for spam protection on the contact form.
  • Google services you choose separately (for example Maps when you open directions) under Google’s own policies.

Social links (Facebook, Instagram) lead to those platforms. Content you view or post there is governed by their privacy policies, not ours.

11

When we share information

We do not sell personal information. We share it only when necessary:

  • With service providers who help us host the site, send email, or stop spam — under appropriate safeguards.
  • With authorities if required by Pakistani law or to protect the safety of a child or another person.
  • With your direction — for example, if you ask us to introduce you to another organisation.
12

Retention & security

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including safeguarding, legal, and accounting needs, then delete or anonymise it where practical.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data (secure hosting, access-controlled admin areas, password hashing for accounts, and limited staff access). No online system is perfectly secure; please use strong passwords for any account you hold with us and contact us if you suspect misuse.

13

Your choices & rights

Depending on applicable law, you may ask us to:

  • Confirm whether we hold personal information about you.
  • Correct inaccurate contact details you have given us.
  • Delete contact messages or other personal data we no longer need to keep.
  • Receive a copy of information you provided, where feasible.

To make a request, email ashiana.home1@gmail.com with enough detail for us to find your records. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

14

Visitors outside Pakistan

Ashiana-e-Korang is based in Islamabad, Pakistan. If you contact us from another country, your information may be processed in Pakistan and in countries where our hosting or email providers operate.

By using the site or sending us a message, you understand that your information may be transferred to and stored in those locations under the safeguards described here.

15

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our practices or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page will change when we do. Continued use of the website after an update means you accept the revised policy.

Significant changes may also be highlighted on the website or by email if we have your address for that purpose.
